The mountain top for my Mental Health Awareness campaign for 2022 is here! Last year, I went through depression, among other mental issues. I remember the day I wrote Beautiful Escape, I felt delighted, and from one instant to the next, I felt like I was very numb. I went straight to my keyboard and started playing random notes. The first thing I wrote was the chorus: "come and join us, on this, our beautiful escape." It immediately had a therapeutic effect on me, and the musical arrangement process flowed beautifully afterward.

I remember listening to the instrumental track, singing the chorus section over and over, and feeling light and warm, almost like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I began to think of a more profound way to use my music; the focus was to help others who suffer from mental health. I ultimately decided to donate all the proceeds from the music I produce for 2022 to Hope For The Day. (HFTD) is a non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education. Their programming serves individuals, families, and communities from multiple backgrounds. Including veterans + active duty service members through 'Project Red Team' and food + beverage industry members with the '86 the Silence' mental awareness campaign.

Beautiful Escape is the song that inspired it all! Beautiful Escape sparked an inner flame and a desire to use my music for something that went beyond myself. Commence the snowball effect; enter Manuchammah with her unique, hypnotizing, cascading vocals amplifying the song to another level. Beautiful Escape is the song I am the proudest to date because it served as the catalyst for my mental health awareness campaign.
